One of the leading names in the fashion industry, Manav Gangwani featured his latest collection “India @ 70” at India Couture Week 2017. Bollywood’s diva Disha Patani was the showstopper of the show held at Lodhi hotel, New Delhi. Disha looked breathtaking in Manav’s creation and gave the fiddly embroidered lehenga with black tassel blouse an alluring look that brought it to its best the way she carried it.
Manav Gangwani beautifully combined the features of design from regions of India like famous Bandhani of Rajasthan, Jamawars from Kasmir, Kathakali from Kerela etc. by using techniques like Chikankari, Zardosi, Parsi, and Badla. One of the most distinctive pieces of the show was an outfit encouraging honorable PM Narendra Modi’s “Make in India”, showcasing a minutely designed outline of a lion, which was displayed at the grand staircase of the hotel.
