Summer Hairstyle alert: Braided Rose

You don’t need to be a hippy or go to San Francisco, to put on flowers in your hair because, this summer’s latest hair-trend would probably be these intricate braids, organized in such a style that it looks like a rose and it’s taking Instagram by storm.

Perceived by Alison Valsamis, a hairstylist based in Fairfield, Connecticut, this hairstyle may look way too complex and difficult to achieve at home. But, Alison has explained how it’s done in an interview with Allure. “To make these roses, she starts with a small 3-strand braid rolled up to serve as the center-most part. She alternate between standard fishtails and Dutch fishtails pulled apart to create depth. Then she finishes with a Dutch 3-strand braid pulled out on the out-most side to form the large petal feel of a rose in bloom.” For more in-depth and visual guide, check out Alison’s Instagram for this unique breaded hairstyle as well as some other fresh and seasonal styles.
