Treat whiteheads effectively with our home remedies

The hot, humid climate makes our skin prone to skin problems and whiteheads are extremely common. We all suffer from whiteheads which are a type of acne that forms when dead skin cells, oil, and bacteria get trapped in the skin pores. Unlike a blackhead, a whitehead forms under the surface of a closed pore. There are many reasons that can cause whiteheads like clogged pores, puberty, menstruation, pregnancy and menopause.

For all those who are suffering from whiteheads on nose, chin, and forehead, here are few home remedies to cure them.

Lemon: Squeeze out the juice of a fresh lemon and apply on your face with cotton. Do this for 10 minutes thrice a week to remove excess sebum and open up your pores, thereby clearing whiteheads.

Tooth paste: Applying tooth paste can dry up whiteheads within 24 hours. Dab a little amount of tooth paste on the tip of your whitehead and leave for half an hour. After that, wash your face properly to eliminate all those unwanted build-ups. PS Colgate (the good old white one) works best!

White Sugar and Olive Oil: Make a scrub by by mixing 1 tablespoon of olive oil with 2 tablespoons of white sugar and massage the whitehead-affected parts of your skin with it slowly in circular motion.

Apple Cider Vinegar: Put few drops of apple cider vinegar onto a cotton ball and apply directly to your whiteheads. It will get soaked by the skin after some time and the acidic properties of the ingredient will clear up the blemishes gradually.

Tomato: Apply the tomato pulp all over your face and wait until it dries now wash it off with lukewarm water. Tomato is a great source of lycopene, which drives whiteheads away with its acidic nature.

Egg White: Crack the egg and separate its white portion from its yolk. Keep beating the egg white to come up with a frothy brew, now, apply it all over your face and neck evenly and let the mask dry completely so that it can be peeled off easily. Finally, wash off with lukewarm water.

Regular cleaning and scrubbing of the face also ensures that whiteheads do not occur. Keep your skin squeaky clean to avoid whiteheads.
