Whose look did you love, Priyanka or Deepika?
The Met Gala is world’s greatest stage for avant-garde fashion moments, and this year’s MET gala took place recently. Long gone are the days when Cannes was the only festival where our Indian actress could shine at an international event.
With our very own super talented and beautiful actresses Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra being intnationally well-known names, they automatically become star attractions at Hollywood events like MET Gala. Both of them dazzled last year and made an appearance this time as well. As we were waiting for their look here are they:
The Quantico actress couldn’t look more mesmerizing than this. Priyanka is wearing a Ralph Lauren red velvet evening gown with an embellished handcrafted veil. However, the gown is normal but her veil is winning hearts. As described by the designer page: the golden hood is handcrafted with Swarovski crystals, beadwork and 250 hours of embroidery.
The way we cannot stop gushing over Priyanka, her look is touted as “one of the best” of this year’s Gala on social media. Styled by Christina Ehrlich, Priyanka looked absolutely stunning and beautiful in the outfit. Last year as well her Ralph Lauren trench coat made headlines. However, her look was trolled but I guess this time it will not happen.
On the other hand, Deepika Padukone also looked stunning in a red Prabal Gurung dress. Styled by Shaleena Nathani the actress wore bold makeup with the bold dress and kept the accessories minimal her neatly backward hair added the oomph factor to her overall look. Her designer Prabal Gurung described the outfit in his Instagram image, “Hand draped silk gazar in cardinal.
Both the actresses stayed true to this year’s Met Gala theme: Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and Catholic imagination. Which of the look do you like the most? For the two beauties, this was their second appearance.
The Met Gala is attended by the well-known personalities of New York society and most of Hollywood celebrities are also seen at the event. Other than these two Indian beauties, Rihanna stole the show at the event. Dressed as the female pope she wore a white beaded Margiela corset mini dress under a full skirt, with a beaded bishop’s hat to match. The Singer who is also co-hosting the event looked amazing. She turned out to be a sexy pope.
