Yesteryear actress Mala Singh is upset with Dadasaheb Phalke award committee as they missed her name on the invitation card. The actress has been bestowed with Dadasaheb Phalke academy award but when she received an invite for the same , she was shocked to see her name missing from the winners list.
Other winners including Asha Bhosle and Pam Mehta(who is to receive the award on behalf of her late husband Yash Chopra) were mentioned on the list.
The 76-year old Mala Sinha is not in limelight any more and lives a life of semi-retirement with her ailing mother and daughter Pratibha. The actress has given powerhouse performance in Guru Dutt’s Pyaasa, B R Chopra’s Dhool Ka Phool and Gumrah and Ramanand Sagar’s Geet.
