Priya Prakash Varrier reveals the wink was “Spontaneous”

Recently a Malayalam actress Priya Prakash Varrier became an Internet sensation for her wink. Her expression in the video is being loved all over social media. She went top on the most searched list with her followers crossing crores in numbers in just a day!

The clip was from the song Manikya Malaraya Poovi from the film Oru Adaar Love. In the song, Priya is seen flirting with her school-mate (co-star Mohammed Roshan), who is overwhelmed by her wink.

However, the actress says that the wink was spontaneous and she never thought that it would make her a star overnight.  Giving an interview to NDTV she said, “Actually, the director wanted to capture something cute between me and my hero so he told me if I can  wink at him. I told him that I could give it a try. That’s how it worked out. It was spontaneous and we hadn’t planned anything.”

She adds, “I never thought this would become such a sensation. Everybody told me that it was good. But I never expected it to become such a big hit”

The official clip has been watched over 14 million times and her Instagram account with less than 100 posts has over 2.8 million followers now. There are many memes too that are going viral.


After her first video became a hit, she is back with a new one and this one too is a big hit for her as it is being watched madly.
