Expert Review: Rimmel Colour Show Off 130 Lipstick Love Me

Mixed feelings about the Rimmel Colour Show Off 130 Lipstick Love Me

Rimmel Love Me Lipstick

On a trip to Rimmel I picked up this sweet raspberry pink shade for daily use. Now Rimmel is a drugstore brand abroad but in India it is still an exclusive brand. You get Rimmel products at DLF Place in Delhi. Parcos there has the only Rimmel counter in Delhi (right now). This lipstick turned out to be a disappointment, here’s why:

Claims:  High colour intensity, velvet matte finish lipstick. Colour Show Off is more than a lipstick – it’s a must-have fashion accessory. With a new state-of–the-art formula boosted with Colour Fix Pigments, Colour Show Off pampers lips with a luscious, ultra lightweight texture that makes them feel sexily smooth. With full-on, high-definition colours for every day-time, dress-up and show-off occasions – it’s time to step into the spotlight with this ultra-desirable lipstick. This shade, with it’s loved up name, is a truly adorable rich dark pink.

Packaging:  The lipstick is packaged in a beautiful plastic deep pink embossed tube with a gold ring in the middle.

Price: I got mine for 415 from Parcos.

Pros: The Rimmel 130 Lipstick Love Me was my perfect pink:

  •  It is the perfect pink shade with a hint of blue undertones.

Cons:  The Rimmel Colour Show Off 130 Lipstick Love Me has too many faults:

  • The first one being its formulation, it feels gritty on the lips.
  • The shade wears out in a few hours and leaves a chapped feeling on the lips.
  • Also the Rimmel Colour Show Off 130 Lipstick line has been discontinued abroad. India I believe was a dumping ground for leftovers!

Rating: 1/5, Only for the attractive packaging.
