The month of July did not only bring rain to the capital city but also the biggest fashion gala of the year. The fashion design council of India or FDCI organized The India Couture Week 2016. The celebration was spread over five days of pure talent shower. Some of India’s leading fashion houses showcased their dazzling designs to the world.
There were stunning outfits from some of country’s brilliant talent. This year FDCI decided to do something out of the box by adding new designers paired with some inspiring jewelers making the runway shine. The couture week was a blend of Indian and Russian culture. The designers flaunted the cultural heritage of the two nations.

The India Couture Week focused on Indian trends for the upcoming festve season. So we saw a plethora of magnificent lehngas, anarkalis, sarees and indo westerns. The list of participants was mind blowing. They showcased Manish Malhotra, Anita Dongre, Rohit Bal, Varun Bahl, Tarun Tahiliani and many more. The ramp was walked by the Bollywood queens, Deepika Padukone and Kangna Ranaut. Accompanied by some other stars like, Fawad Khan and Yami Gautam.
