Today kids prefer smartphones over books and toys. ” My son enjoys watching kids videos on YouTube because of which many times I have lost important contacts, photos and mails. The worst was when all the apps got deleted. Besides this  there is the pushing of buttons, greasy fingerprints and dropping of phones which can be scary”, tells Aradhya Mehta, mother of a three year old boy. We mothers go through this a lot and end up getting the phone repaired every few months. But not anymore as  Team AAW tells you  few effective ways to protect your smartphone from kids:

Buy a sturdy cover: Silicone covers might not look pretty but they are better than a cracked screen. Pick a sturdy cover and remember a good cover must encase the back, sides and cover some top corners to protect your phone properly. Also get a tempered glass on your screen to avoid any scratches.

Get a lock code: Lock codes insure no one can open your phone without your permission because of which your kid won’t be able to  open other apps except the ones which doesn’t have a lock code.

Do not download games: Once a friend downloaded a baby application that repeated whatever you spoke. Much to her chagrin every kid wanted to play with the baby on her phone. So keep away kid friendly apps, in case you download them, keep them in a folder named work.

Enable restrictions: All smartphones and tables have restriction settings. Enable restrictions of wi-fi, 3G and most games. That way the kid won’t get to do much in your phone and get bored soon.

Learn to say no: Tell them clearly that you are not giving them the phone and instead distract them with a toy or book.
