People are going crazy on social media as Taylor Swift announced her engagement to Travis Kelce: 

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are officially engaged! The pop icon and the Kansas City Chiefs star shared the happy news in a joint Instagram post on August 26, 2025, writing, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨.” This engagement marks the next chapter in Swift and Kelce’s much-adored, highly public relationship, which first made headlines in September 2023 when the two were spotted together shortly after Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Chicago Bears 41–10 at home.

Although the couple hasn’t revealed full details of the floral-themed proposal, photos show Swift in a Ralph Lauren halter-neck dress and a diamond-encrusted Cartier watch, proudly displaying her engagement ring. Kelce is seen down on one knee, asking the big question, before the two lovingly embrace.

Messages of congratulations have poured in from across the world — including from U.S. President Donald Trump, who remarked, “I wish them a lot of luck. I think he’s a great player, a great guy. And I think she’s a terrific person.”

The ring was custom-tailored by Kindred Lubeck of Artifex Fine Jewelry, working closely with Travis Kelce to capture a timeless aesthetic. At its center sits an Old Mine Brilliant Cut diamond—also known as an antique or cushion cut—celebrated for its vintage charm. The cut features rounded corners and a classic, romantic appeal.

It is bezel-set (or supported by delicate needle-point prongs) in 18K yellow gold, reinforcing its heirloom-inspired design.

While estimates vary, experts suggest the diamond is between 7–10 carats, with some sources even pushing estimates up to 12 carats.

As for valuation, the ring’s worth ranges significantly—from $550,000 to $1 million, with some outliers suggesting an upper limit of $5 million, depending on quality and diamond characteristics. The band features intricate filigree engravings, accent or side stones, and delicate needle-point prongs—adding to the craftsmanship and antique feel.

Throughout their two-year relationship, the couple has consistently shown up for each other at major moments. On September 24, 2023, Swift was spotted in the Kelce family suite, cheering on the tight end as the Chiefs took on the Chicago Bears. She went on to attend many of his games over the next two seasons, even witnessing his team’s Super Bowl LVIII victory.
