We are excited as “Friends: The Reunion” premiere date is announced:
Yaay, Yaay, Yaay! Finally, after months of rumors and anticipation, The Friends Reunion is going to be a reality. The first teaser for the Friends reunion special starring Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer, is out. The video released the premiere date.
The teaser features an acoustic version of the theme tune and the cast walking into the distance. It then reveals the release date of the Friends reunion which will premiered on streaming service HBO Max on May 27.
The makers also announced the guestlist for the episode which includes celebrities like David Beckham, Justin Bieber, BTS, James Corden, Cindy Crawford, Cara Delevingne, Lady Gaga and many more.
For those who think that it is going to be a movie, well, it is an unscripted reunion special. Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, Courteney Cox, and David Schwimmer will return to Friends’ original soundstage in the Warner Bros. Studio lot in California, to talk about playing Rachel, Phoebe, Joey, Chandler, Monica, and Ross, respectively.

HBO Max explained in a statement, “Lastly, in order to avoid any misunderstanding about what this special is, we want to make it very clear that this is not a new, original episode of the series. The cast will be appearing as themselves, not as their beloved characters.”

The Friends reunion special has completed filming and the sitcom’s official Instagram account confirmed the news .
The project was initially slated to film on March 23 and 24, 2020 in Burbank, but was “delayed until at least May,” due to the ongoing pandemic in the world.
Friends is still and will be one of the most popular sitcoms of all time. The series ran for 10 seasons from 1994 to 2004 and depicted the daily lives and the problems of six friends in a comedic way.
So bookmark the 27th of May. Though HBO Max is not in India, but Indian fans will surely find their way to watch it. 😛
