Must eats from the all new menu at The China Kitchen

Hyatt has always had a cult following for its award winning Chinese specialty restaurant, The China Kitchen. In fact the regular patronage boasts of big names from the food industry like Vir Sanghvi. To make things exciting, The China Kitchen for the first time since its opening decided to do away with almost 60% of their menu. A big bet, especially since people are so used to the food and it is truly world class. However, the bet seems to be paying off because the food is more fiery, intricate and probably tastier than ever.

Service: One thing which makes you feel extremely comfortable here is staff and their knowledge of food. They understand your tastes and end up suggesting the dishes you would probably want to head back for.

What to try: The best dimsums in town. The dimsums are delicate but extremely flavourful. The fillings are made keeping in mind the juiciness and balance of flavours. The best one is the red chili, coriander shrimp mousse, ginger soy dimsum wherein the shrimp is wrapped in a red chilli. The poached chicken, spicy sesame sauce, peanuts, crispy garlic, coriander was a hit on our table too.

The China Kitchen - Lamb Shanks
The China Kitchen – Lamb Shanks

The lamb shank which will probably be their biggest best seller is a different dish. The twice-cooked crispy lamb shank has a strong cumin flavour and it stands apart because of the textures and the sauce which makes it finger licking tasty. This has a huge Indian touch to it all thanks to the cumin flavours. Highly recommended.
