Recipe: Kuttu Dosa

Kuttu Dosa

This Navratri shun the traditional kuttu fare the rotis, puris or parantha and treat your taste buds to a kuttu dosa. The recipe is easy, quick and healthy.

Ingredients

  • 5 tbsp buckwheat flour (kuttu)
  • 2 tbsp boiled arbi
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp ajwain
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • For the filling
  • 4 boiled potatoes
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 lemon
  • 2 green chillies
  • Salt – to taste
  • Oil

Method

  • In a bowl, mash the arbi and mix it with the flour and salt.
  • Add water, red chilli powder, salt and stir well to make a smooth batter. Let the batter rest for some time.
  • Heat a pan and dab oil on it. Pour some batter with a ladle and spread it properly.
  • Cook for few mins and flip for even cooking.
  • Add a spoonful of filling of the aloo ki sabzi and fold it.

Filling

  • Heat oil in a pan, crackle cumin seeds and green chilli.
  • Add the chopped potatoes.
  • Cook for 3 minutes and add lemon juice, salt.
  • Mix thoroughly.
