Summers often mean tired, sweat and sunburn in the heat wave. Well more often than not you will look for remedy to fight sweat stains, burns, and unpleasant summer issues. Well here are clever home solutions using common ingredients for summer problems:
Use deodorant at bedtime
Apply deodorant before you go to bed as the ingredients are able to absorb better because your sweat rate and body temperature lower when you sleep. You can reapply in the morning after you shower!
Cool sunburn with milk
Sunburnt after spending the whole day outside? Well, mix equal parts milk, water, and ice cubes in a bowl. Soak a face towel in the mixture and press on the burned area for five minutes. The fats and proteins in milk have anti-inflammatory benefits while ice reduces swelling.
Remove sweat stains with lemon
According to Yahoo! you can save your sweat-stained silk shirts by making a mixture of lemon and water in equal parts. Scrub the mixture onto the discolored fabric, and then wash the shirt regularly and air-dry the shirt outside. PS do not soak in this mix as it can discolour your clothes.
Lighten hair naturally
Love those subtle sun-kissed highlights which look naturally bleached by sun? Here’s how to get them without spending hours in the sun, just spray wet hair with a mixture of two parts lemon juice and one part water (lemon juice dries hair, so use a heavy condition later). Repeat this once every few days for two weeks until you reach your desired shade. If you have darker hair this works better!
Prevent foot blisters with deodorant
Summers are time for show shopping those cute ballet flats and sandals. Applying band-aids on the blisters can’t help for long. So to decrease those blisters, swipe a deodorant along the inside of your shoe. This will minimize moisture and friction which worsen blisters.
