How to identify the MAC Lipstick finishes?

Well this one is pretty easy, on the bottom of the tube MAC mentions the finish of their lipstick. Ight above the name of the shade is the finish.

What are the MAC Lipstick finishes

MAC Amplified
Amplified is their ever famous range of highly pigmented pretty shades. These shades are glossy, one swipe and you are done. Vegas Volt, a favourite here, is Amplified.

MAC Amplified Crème
Amplified Crème is a step over the Amplified shades. They are well pigmented, glossy lipsticks but they are not long-wearing lipsticks.

MAC Cremesheen
As Cremesheen, the lipsticks are creamy and shiny! Cremesheen are glossy shades which are easy to glide on but there stay power is not that great.

MAC Cremesheen Pearl
Much like the cremesheen the MAC Cremesheen Pearl has a pearly almost frosty finish. The only downside? It is slightly less pigmented but buildable.

MAC Frost
MAC frost has a frosty appearance but unlike creamesheen pearl these are glossy and shimmery. They have a medium coverage and stay!

MAC Glaze
Glaze are the glaziest of all MAC finishes. It is sheer and has a slight glossy finish. These look good but don’t tay long.

MAC Lustre
Lustre means sheen and MAC Lustre lipstick is not pigmented and slightly sheer. Kareena Kapoor’s favourite my lips but better shade (MLBB) is MAC Hug Me which is a MAC Lustre.

MAC Matte
The mattes are our favourite however the mattes at MAC are high on colour. These highly pigmented shades need one wipe and you are done! They are long lasting but usually just deep shades with no shimmer or shine. Plus they can be a bit drying too.

MAC Retro Matte
The Retro Matte are more matte than MAC Matte. With their highly pigmented colour it can be a bit drying and difficult to apply. Our favourite Ruby Woo is also a retro matte.

MAC Satin
Satin as the finish suggest are smooth, with a slight sheen. They are well pigmented but a bit opaque and need to be build for coverage. They are moisturisng and glide on the lips.

So the next time you walk into a MAC store you will know what you want!
