Women after the age of 40 must take care of their skin just like young girls. This is because of stress and other issues in life, our skin suffers a lot and start getting loose. The skin shows prominent signs of aging like fine lines, wrinkles, saggy skin etc. Therefore, it is very important to take care of your skin and replenish your youth so that you look young and your skin radiates with a natural glow.   • Choose Your Cleanser Mindfully: While it is important to buy a face cleanser according to your skin type (oily, dry or combination skin), you should always look out for skin nourishing ingredients like AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acids) that stimulates the cell growth, acts as a primer and exfoliator. You don’t actually have to buy these products separately.

  • Go for A Face Serum: Not many are aware of this fact but face serum is very effective anti-aging products. Not many cosmetics & beauty products contact serum and therefore, it has to be applied separately. Use antioxidants (resveratrol, Vitamin C, E) rich serums in the morning and retinol (Vitamin A) based serums at night. These help in stimulating the cell turnover and reducing the collagen breakdown. A Retinyl Palmitate based serum is a milder option for people with sensitive skin.
  • Use Sunscreen Regularly: A sunscreen will protect your skin from sun damage, preventing the signs of aging like fine lines, age spots etc. Use an SPF-based moisturizer that performs the function of moisturizing as well as sun protection. A separate day cream and a night cream work wonder to replenish the skin from within.
  • Watch Your Diet:  Everything else goes in vain if you don’t watch what you eat. A diet rich in healthy nutrients and less of chemical additives is a must to achieve a younger looking skin. Yogurt, almonds, blueberry are anti-ageing foods that are rich in Vitamin A, E, and antioxidants.

Turmeric: Pure turmeric is recognized for its antiseptic, astringent and anti-inflammatory properties. Applying turmeric by adding milk in it to your skin will prevent acne and lighten up the tanning. Also, stops the growth of facial hairs.

Honey: For glowing and younger looking skin, our older generation used to make honey packs by adding lemon or turmeric in it. So ladies! Get into the traditional ways of keeping your skin hale and healthy. Honey is a wonderful ingredient for dry skin.

Gram Flour: Gram flour (Besan), is a popular ingredient in India for skin care. Applying gram floor on the skin by adding milk in it helps to tighten the loose skin and brighten the complexion. This ingredient helps in many ways. It fade outs tanning, used for scrubbing and provides a glowing skin.
