The 8th edition of Miss Diva contest took place over the weekend and Adline Castelino was crowned Miss Universe India 2020 by Vartika Singh winner of the previous year. Aavriti Choudhary of Jabalpur won the title of Miss Diva Supranational by her predecessor Shefali Sood. Adline belongs to Mangalore and is a professional model.
Pune’s Neha Jaiswal was crowned Miss Diva Runner-up by Roshni Sheoran.
Castelino will go be representing the country at Miss Universe later this year, while Choudhary will be India’s contender for Miss Supranational pageant.
The panel of judges included Anil Kapoor, Aditya Roy Kapur, Miss Universe 2000 Lara Dutta, designers Shivan and Narresh, Miss Supranational 2014 Asha Bhat, Miss Universe Sri Lanka 2006 Jacqueline Fernandes, designer Nikhil Mehra, and designer Gavin Miguel.
The event was hosted by Malaika Arora.
The final leg of auditions was held in Mumbai in December 2019 where the 20 finalists of LIVA Miss Diva 2020 were chosen. After that, the participants took part in four city sub-contest events followed by a thematic night. Lara Dutta was a mentor and a guide to finalists.
