Ekta Kapoor to remake Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham

K3G returns on TV with Ekta Kapoor, check out the details below:

According to a report, Daily Soap queen Ekta Kapoor is all set to do the remake of Karan Johar’s superhit family drama film Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham as a daily soap. Earlier Ekta confirmed that she is creating a family show after ages and it will air on Sony TV channel in a couple of months.

While the cast of the show is yet to be decided, Varun Sood who was a part of MTV Splitsvilla earlier is reportedly in talks to play Rohan (originally played by Hrithik Roshan in the movie) and Rajat Tokas is expected to play the role of Rahul (played by Shah Rukh Khan in the film).

“Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi” main lead Erica Fernandes might play either Kajol’s talkative Anjali or her younger sister, Pooja (played by Kareena as ‘Poo’). A look test will be done before finalizing the role.

The makers are also considering Bijoy Anand, best known for playing Kajol’s capricious fiance in Dil Toh Pagal Hai, to play the Yashvardhan Raichand (Amitabh Bachchan’s role in the film). None of the actors have confirmed these developments but gossip is still rife. The actors will reportedly be finalized after a look test.
