Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor’s divorce from Delhi-based industrialist Sunjay Kapur has been finalised. The couple had separated seven years ago and Karishma was living with her parents in Mumbai along with her two kids.
The actress was accompanied by her brother-in-law Saif Ali Khan and if sources are to be believed Saif intervened in the matter and spoke to Karisma as well as Sunjay and convinced them not to drag the fight and help the process as they both needed to move on with their lives. He even spoke to them about the similar situation (with his ex-wife Amrita Singh) that he had gone through.
Lawyers Mahesh Jethmalani and Kranti Sathe represented Karisma while Aman Hingorani and Priya Hingorani from Delhi argued for Sunjay.
The couple married in 2003 and have two kids, Samiera Kapoor and Kiaan Raj Kapoor. Their marriage reportedly hit rock bottom after the birth of their daughter Samaira who was born in 2005.
