Expert review: Inglot Pressed Powder 31

I have always been a bit conscious of that extra layer of fat on my chin and wanted to try contouring. So I went over to Inglot to try out some contouring powders. While I thought that a layer of bronzer works best, the SA changed my opinion when she used this muddy powder and brought out a sleeker look on my face! While I know contouring can be difficult but all women (with a bit of fat on their face) must try this for a chiselled look. Here’s my review of the Inglot Pressed Powder in shade number 31:

Contour your face perfectly

To contour your face perfectly: Apply a powder two or more tones darker than your skin colour. For cheekbones apply diagonally under your cheekbones or parallel to your jaw line. To hide your double chin apply on your jaw line and under your chin, this will make your face look elongated. Blending is the key to perfection.

Claims: No claims are mentioned on the packaging.

Packaging:  The powder is packed in a black cardboard box. Inside the box, the compact is packaged in a sleek, round, flip open black plastic case with a mirror on one side and the product on the other. There is a sponge applicator wedged in between.

Pros of Inglot Pressed Powder 31: While the SA suggested a darker shade but i picked this one as I was not sure of my blending skills and did not want a patchy look.

  • It powdery and easily blendable, on my MAC 30 skin tone, it is hardly visible post blending.
  • Makes my face appear sleeker especially in photos.

Cons of Inglot Pressed Powder 31:

Expensive.

Requires a lot of blending and sometimes light compact on top to balance it.

Powdery, the product almost flies. You have to be careful when you pick it with a brush as a little goes a long way!

The sponge is useless at blending

Rating: 3.5/5, While I love the way it contures my face, I am not 100% satisfied with Inglot Pressed Powder 31.
