Aroma Magic Carrot Sunscreen Lotion
Aroma Magic Carrot Sunscreen Lotion

A few weeks back Aroma Magic launched a series of new products especially for the torrid Indian summers. Our interest was piqued when we saw this colourful, vibrant tube of sunscreen which we just had to pick and use. Here’s what Aroma Magic Carrot Sunscreen Lotion is all about:

Claim: I am 100% free of oxybenzone, paraben, harsh chemicals, alcohol and artificial fragrance. My all mineral gel formula creates a physical barrier between you and sun. I am non greasy, skin friendly and enriched with wheatgerm, avocado and grape seed oils. They provide natural sun safety, Vitamins B5, C,E and prevent visible signs of ageing. Notes of calendula, peppermint and roman chamomile essential oils hydrate, soothe and reduce acne. The non nano zinc oxide in me is a mineral reflector found in nature that scatters harmful rays. Aloe vera extracts hydrate, purify and provide smart sun protection

Prices: INR 130 for 100 ml

Packaging: It comes in a bright and chic red tube, with lots of graffiti to make the bottle look interesting and pretty.

Pros: The Aroma Magic Carrot Sunscreen Lotion has a very velvety cream like formulation, which surprised me as it is said it claims to be a lotion with a mineral gel formula.

· The best thing about the product is that chemical and paraben free.

· It protects the skin from UVA / UVB too. UVA rays can age us and UVB can burn us.

· It works well and did not break out my super sensitive skin, which most sunscreens do.

· The packing is very attractive, I love to display this on my dresser.

· It’s smooth so it spreads easily, it is highly emollient and you require just a drop.

· It is easy to carry and leak proof.

Cons: The SPF number is very low (SPF 15) so you would have to reapply often to protect your skin from tanning during harsh summers.

· It is perfect for normal to dry skin but oily beauties better avoid it as the formula is heavy.

· As a summer products line it surprised me that this sunscreen is so thick and not sweat/water proof.

· The fragrance is a turn off. It smells a bit lemony, no colour or fragrance of carrots in the sunscreen!

Rating: 4/5 (Because it did not break me out!)
