Indian rupee is falling but still India is a home to 1,250 uber-rich women. According to the latest wealth report India has the highest proportion of ultra high net worth (UHNW) women in the world those net assets are worth $30 million or above- with a combined fortune of $95 billion.
India is home to 103 billionaires and has significantly higher billionaires than most of its immediate neighbours like Pakistan (415 super rich), Bangladesh (90) and Sri Lanka (75).
While Japan (14270) and China (10675) have more super rich population than India. In India Bangalore has recorded the highest percentage increase in the number of UHNW population – increasing from 720 in 2012 to 750 in 2013 followed by Chennai which has seen a 4.1% increase in this category. Mumbai and Delhi account for more than half of the super-rich Indians and rest live in cities like Kolkata, Hyderabad, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Pune, Gurgaon and Jaipur.
