India’s young sportswomen Saina Nehwal has regained her second position in the women’s badminton singles world rankings.
Saina’s rankings have been moving up post her Olympic win in London last year. She won a bronze and came to World No 5. The latest list was released by the Badminton World Federation, Saina is on the second rank and next to London Games winner Li Xuerui.
Saina has held the prestigious second rank thrice before, in 2010. Though Saina says the climb from No 2 to top will be a difficult one. Here’s wishing she does our country and its women proud by reaching the top.
