Tokyo Olympics: Indian Men’s hockey team won Bronze Medal

Indian Men’s hockey team won a bronze medal in Tokyo Olympics after 41 years: 

Finally, a 41-year long wait is finally over as the Indian men’s hockey team brings the Bronze medal home by beating Germany 5-4 in a pulsating encounter in Tokyo on Thursday. It is another big win for the country and we all are so proud right now. Indian hockey has won a medal after 41 long years. 

Right after the news of the win wishes are pouring in from every corner of the world. Even PM Narendra Modi could not control his excitement and tweeted a congratulatory message for the Indian Men’s hockey team. He wrote, “Historic! A day that will be etched in the memory of every Indian. Congratulations to our Men’s Hockey Team for bringing home the Bronze. With this feat, they have captured the imagination of the entire nation, especially our youth. India is proud of our Hockey team.”

Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar also congratulated the team and the nation. 

Other stars like Ishaan Khatter, Ananya Panday, Nimrat Kaur, Sophie Choudry also congratulated the Indian Men’s Hockey team for their big win at the Olympics 2020. 

As per details, there was a close counter in the match between India and Germany. One save in the end by an Indian defender managed to end Indian Men’s Hockey team’s 41-year long wait for a medal at the Olympics. Simranjeet Singh scored 2 goals during the match while Hardik Singh, Harmanpreet Singh, and Rupinder Pal Singh also joined in scoring for the team.
