1 YEAR

Make a budget for beauty needs plus essentials and stick to it. Include your spa and salon sessions in this. Call a few make-up artists and see the prices for bridal package. Research your pre-bridal and bridal salons/ makeup artist well. Ask friends, internet et all.

Address your skin. Start getting regular facials. If your pocket permits, go to a dermatologist and get prescribed skin-care.

Also start using sun protection, under eye cream, hand and foot cream and night cream regularly. It may seem like a task but the soft skin will be worth it on your D-day.

Start collecting photos of your favorite hairstyles. Hair stylists recommend getting your hair trimmed every three months. But do no get anything drastic that might create a problem while making the juda or bun on your D-day.

Boost your health. Start eating vegetables, salads and fruits for that inner glow. No beauty treatment can help they way good food can!

6 MONTHS

Keep your skin hydrated – especially at night. Air conditioning at office can play havoc with your skin. Your skin repairs itself when you sleep; apply a night cream or a serum.

If you want to get a bikini wax on your D-day, start now. This helps you get prepared for the pain or any infection that might surface.

Commit to a healthy diet. Now is the time to start cutting back on the junk food. Stop sodas, sugars, and carbs. Have fruit, salad and some dry fruits daily.

Start a regular massage session. Get one every alternate week. Get it from a maalish-wali.Just get some essential oils and get the spa therapy at dirt cheap prices!

Start a regular exercise routine. Do a mix of cardio, strength-building, try some yoga too. Yoga helps you relax and decrease the anticipated stress levels.

3 MONTHS

Book an appointment with the dentist. See if your teeth require any work, cavities to be filled or teeth whitening.

Book your hair and makeup appointments. Book the salons and make up artists for your D-day. Book your pre-bridal too. You got six month of research period so it should not be a hassle.

Buy your make-up essentials, but don’t go over board. Make-up expires within three months to one year so excessive things will be a waste.

1 WEEK

This is your final week before the shor-sharaba begins.

Get your haircut, coloured; brows waxed and get that final bikini wax now!

Avoid any new skincare products. Stick to the regulars. Don’t try dramatic makeup. Get a hair spa.

Maintain a strict diet. Stop caffeine as coffee can increase jitters and lead to under-eye circles. Don’t over eat or else your tummy might bloat out from that tiny choli!

 2 DAYS

Schedule your final manicure and pedicure. Get a decadent massage, it wil relive stress levels. Simple hair and makeup for all pre-wedding events is a good idea.

Get ready to dazzle on your d-day!
