Often pregnant women have common complaints of not getting enough rest, and lack of sleep which leads to mood swings. A study has revealed that regular exercise may improve pregnant women’s mood.  Plus it also helps reduce fatigue.

The study examined if a four week exercise programme would help improving the psychological well-being of inactive pregnant women. The results showed a significant change in their mood during the programme. Postpartum disorders like postnatal depression are widely recognised and this can lead to complications resulting from depression during pregnancy.

Moreover, fatigue during pregnancy leads to an increased change of cesarean delivery, disturbed sleep, and a negative impact on physical and mental health both of the mother and the baby. Preggers? Go for a walk now!
