Planning to go on vacation on New Years?Confused where to go? Well Team AAW understands that picking a right place  to celebrate New Years can be a little tricky so we asked  Mr. Nicholas Lim, President for Trafalgar (Asia) and President of the Travel Corp to suggest us few places

Recognized as the birthplace of the Renaissance, New Year’s Eve is where this city is at its most energetic. You can find great parties in a number of Piazzas,while the main outdoor event will be at Piazzale Michelangelo.Expect fireworks to light up the sky at midnight!

Seville, Spain
The locals celebrate New Year’s Eve by eating ‘twelve grapes of luck’ when the clock strikes twelve– one at each chime of the clock. Take part in this tradition in Plaza Nueva, in the center of Seville while you admire the beautiful fireworks display. Soak in the special atmosphere as you stroll down the historic streets of city famous for bullfighting, flamenco and amazing cuisine! Or head over to the atmospheric Plaza de España and the beautiful adjoining Maria Luisa Park for a romantic stroll and countdown the new year with your loved one.

Head over to the South of France for a special countdown with the kids. Festivities start early at Place Massena in the afternoon of New Year’s Eve. The square will be filled with festivity and camaraderie as characters from famous French cartoons will entertain and enthrall the young ones. Place Garibaldi will also entertain the children with storytelling and special appearances by French children’s authors. Head over to the harbour for the countdown or enjoy the concert at Acropolis in the Salle Apollon where the Philharmonique de Nice will perform a superb programme of music.

Fireworks and music performances will be sure to entertain, but a special place to watch the fireworks would be near the Colosseum on Via dei Fori Imperiali where there’s live music entertainment before midnight.When in Rome, do as the Romans do and have a big New Year’s Dinner (cenone). Just after midnight on New Years, you must also have some lentils as it means you will have good fortune for the coming year.

Join the grand New Year parade that takes place on New Year’s Day where over 10,000 participants from 20 countries will perform. From marching bands to acrobats , dancers and clowns, the parade begins at the famous Ritz Hotel, passes through Piccadilly Circus, to Lower Regent Street through Trafalgar Square and Whitehall and ends at the Big Ben.
