International Indian Film Academy Award’s 18th edition was held on 15th July at MetLife Stadium, New York. The event was the most talked about the evening with Bollywood celebrities gathered to celebrate the success of movies of the previous year with congratulating the winners. The event was hosted by Karan Johar and Saif Ali Khan. Here is the list of winners who bagged the prizes and were the spark of the evening:

Best Film- Neerja:

Sonam Kapoor’s “Neerja” won the Best Film Award, the story was based on Neerja Bhanot, an air hostess who lost her life, saving people from a hijacked plane in Karachi.

Best Director- Anirudh Roy Chaudhary, Pink:

Anirudh Roy won it for Pink, a movie bringing forward the message of,“When a woman says NO, it is a NO”.

Best Actor in a comic role (Male)- Varun Dhawan, Dishoom

He made people laugh by his cuteness in Dishoom and here he comes with the Best Actor in a comic role award!

Best Actress in supporting role- Shabana Azmi (Neerja)

Neerja is an amazing film showcasing the life of Neerja Bhanot an air hostess, and Shabana Azmi bagged the Best actress in supporting role for playing her mother in the film.

M.S.Dhoni: The Untold Story is based on the life of Dhoni and Anupam Kher played the role of his father in the movie.
