The much awaited film of of the year starring the handsome Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh has hit the theaters on V-Day. If you are planning to watch it over the weekend just read its review to know more about the film

Story: Gunday kicks off from the violence that surrounded the creation of Bangladesh. Orphaned Bala(Arjun) saves waif Bikram (Ranveer) from a paedophile in war-torn Bangladesh. Escaping officials, the two boys reach Calcutta, hiding on a train. Facing homelessness and heartlessness, the duo decides to conquer life, selling stolen coal – till they become Calcutta’s most famous gundey. Both are tough and inseparable – until they both fall for cabaret dancer Nandita (Chopra).

Music: The music of the film is composed by Sohail Sen. The all-male number Jashn-e-Ishqa sung by Javed Ali and Shadab Faridi is very peppy. Tune Maari Entriyaan sung by Bappi Lahiri, KK, Neeti Mohan, and Vishal Dadlani is very catchy. The romantic number Jiya sung by Arijit Singh’s strikes an instant chord with the listeners. The other songs like Saaiyaan, Asalaam-e-Ishqum, Mann Kunto Maula will surely not disappoint the listeners.

Why you should watch Gunday: You must watch this movie to see the bromance between Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor and their chemistry. The music of the film is also entertaining and the sets will surely take you to Bollywood’s golden era.

Why you should miss Gunday: If you don’t like action movies than you can give this movie a miss but we suggest you to give it a watch once for the all new Jodi of Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor.
Special mention: The Calcutta setting is eye-catching and the cinematography is excellent.
