Kajol & Twinkle’s Too Much Fails to Brew the Charm of Koffee With Karan:
Most Bollywood fans would have never imagined a day when they’d be disappointed by the famously witty Twinkle Khanna. Once hailed as Mrs. Funnybones for her sharp humour and unapologetic personality, Twinkle was seen as a refreshing change in Bollywood’s otherwise superficial landscape. So, when her talk show ‘Two Much with Kajol & Twinkle’ was announced, expectations naturally ran high.
The concept sounded promising — a female-led talk show that could bring warmth, wit, and real conversations to screens, something different from Koffee with Karan’s glitz or The Kapil Sharma Show’s staged comedy. With two iconic actresses, Kajol and Twinkle, at the helm, fans anticipated charm, nostalgia, and candid chatter.

But when the first episode aired, excitement quickly turned into confusion. Viewers tuned in again for the second episode, hoping the show would find its rhythm — but by the third, audiences had made up their minds. Something just wasn’t working.

What was meant to be a refreshing take on celebrity talk shows soon turned into an awkward watch. Kajol and Twinkle, once adored for their authenticity, came across as dominating and dismissive hosts. Fans pointed out that the duo spent more time talking to each other than to their guests — asking questions only to answer them themselves, interrupting responses, and steering conversations toward inside jokes or gossip.
Many now believe the show would function better as a podcast, since it feels less like an interview and more like two friends chatting over coffee while a guest quietly listens.

Ironically, this has led to a newfound appreciation for Karan Johar and his long-running talk show. Despite the controversies and criticism Koffee with Karan has faced, viewers now realize that Karan knew how to conduct a conversation — teasing secrets, sparking laughter, and still making his guests feel heard.
In contrast, Two Much has fans saying exactly what its title suggests — it’s just a bit too much.
