There are many lists which talk about aphrodisiac and foods that boost your sex performance but did you know that there is a list of foods which sabotage your sex life! Infact a simple cup of coffee might be (ahem!) responsible for your performance in bed.
Many foods are in fact problematic for your sexual well-being from those heavy oil laden desi foods to the love for cola. Steer clear of these foods for a better sex life:
Cut the coffee
Love that cup of java? They might make you fresher but coffee can harm your adrenal glands which are responsible for stress hormones, and if the function reduces, sex hormones can be affected.
Skip the soda
Areated drinks (including diet versions) can lead to depression and according to a study soda consumption leads to sexual dysfunction.
Bad oils (cheap ones)
Oils: Oils like canola and vegetable oils often lead to conception problems. These oils release free radicals into the body, which affect the reproductive system, and reduce the ability to conceive. Avoid oily food.
Ditch the artificial sweeteners
The sugar free variety is the worse way to consume sugar, infact the ket ingredient in artificial sweeteners like Aspartame can affect the production of dopamine (a hormone responsible for sex drive).
Stop consuming alcohol
While alcohol does lower inhibitions but in men it can decrease testosterone production. Many times it leads to erection failure.
