Never rub your wrists/freedigitalphotos.net

Have you often wondered that the same perfume smells differently on you and your friend? Well the difference in your body composition. it is said that everyone has a different way of processing and breaking the compounds of perfumes and hence the different fragrance. But the correct way of application also plays a role in the long lasting abilities of the perfume.

Here is how to apply perfume perfectly to reap maximum benefits from it.

Moisturize: The key to long lasting fragrance is a moisturized skin. For the skin to soak up the perfume moisture is a perfect base. Perfume tends to evaporate on dry skin. But be cautious of applying a non-greasy moisturizer, an over fragrant or oily one will not help your cause.

Apply on the body: Always spritz perfume on your skin. Applying it on clothes makes it evaporate quickly and it can also stain your garment.

Spray on your pulse points: Pulse points are the parts of the body where the skin is a bit thinner. The pulse points are elbow folds, behind the ears, back of knees, wrists, neck and cleavage.  Spritz a little bit on these pulse points as they warm up, pulse points spread the fragrance throughout the body. One common mistake is to rub the wrists after the application; this makes the perfumes less effective.

Layering the fragrance: Layering makes the fragrance last longer by intensifying the fragrance. Layer your fragrance by use a body wash, moisturizer, body spray and perfume all of the same fragrance.

Hope these tips give you a long lasting fragrance. But sometimes during menses or pregnancy your perfume can smell funny. This is because of hormonal changes.
