Get stronger nails
Who doesn’t love beautiful long nails but when we don’t get them naturally, we go for the acrylic nails. Undoubtedly acrylic nails look pretty but they damage the nails too as a lot of buffering is done to fix the nails properly. For six months I had acrylic nails but after I got them removed my natural nails have become so weak and thin that they keep on breaking and peeling which is quite annoying so I talked to few beauty experts on how to strengthen nails, naturally. Here are few tips from them which are working well for me and would surely be useful for you too.
Soak in olive oil
Soak the nails in olive oil for 10-15 minutes daily at least for a month, then twice a week thereafter. This inexpensive home beauty treatment will help fortify damaged, weak or peeling nails.
Don’t overuse your nails
Your fingernails aren’t intended to be tools to open soda cans so avoid doing it. Also try to wear gloves while doing the daily doing like dishes, cleaning, and gardening as detergents and cleansers are harsh on your fingernails, causing drying, spitting and peeling.
Take a multivitamin daily
Vitamins are essential for your overall well being and can do wonders for your nails too. Lack of vitamin A, vitamin C and calcium can cause dry, brittle nails so take a multivitamin and calcium supplements daily. Also include foods rich in biotin, such as liver, cooked eggs, whole grains, cauliflower in your diet. You can go for a biotin tablet.
Avoid too much nail paint
Let your nails breath for a while so keep them bare minus the nail paint for some time. Also always use an acetone free nail paint remover.
Massage your nails
Massaging your fingernails stimulates blood flow to the area, helping them grow longer and stronger. Use a olive oil or a nail cream and massage hands and cuticles.
