Babil Khan Makes Instagram Comeback with Heartfelt Post for Ananya Panday, Arjun Kapoor, and Others Mentioned in Emotional Video:
Babil Khan, actor and son of the late Irrfan Khan, recently posted—and later deleted—a video in which he appeared to criticize several celebrities. Following the backlash, he deactivated his Instagram account on Sunday. However, Babil has now returned to the platform, addressing the controversy and clarifying that his video was “extremely misinterpreted.”
On his Instagram, Babil reshared a post by actor Kubbra Sait that featured his family’s official statement on the issue. In the caption, he wrote: “Thank you so much ❤️ This video was extremely misinterpreted. I was trying to show support to Ananya Panday, Shanaya Kapoor, Gaurav Adarsh, Arjun Kapoor, Raghav Juyal, Arijit Singh.”
Babil further shared, “I genuinely don’t have the energy to indulge more, but I do this out of responsibility for my peers whom I truly admire.”
He also reposted Raghav Juyal’s Instagram Story and added, “Raghav Juyal, bhai you are my icon, my idol, and the elder brother I never had.”
Several celebrities, including Ananya Panday and Siddhant Chaturvedi—both mentioned in Babil Khan’s emotional video—have come forward to show their support for him.
Babil’s family also issued an official statement addressing the video. A part of it read:
“In the clip, Babil was sincerely acknowledging a few of his peers whom he believes are making meaningful contributions to the evolving landscape of Indian cinema. His mention of artists like Ananya Panday, Shanaya Kapoor, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Raghav Juyal, Adarsh Gourav, Arjun Kapoor, and Arijit Singh came from a place of genuine admiration — for their authenticity, passion, and efforts to restore credibility and heart in the industry.”
