Celebs mourn the death of Veteran Actor Dilip Kumar 

The First Superstar Of the Indian Film Industry Dilip Kumar passed away at 98, here is how Bollywood reacted to the news:

Today was certainly not a good morning, the internet woke up to the unfortunate news of Bollywood veteran actor Dilip Kumar’s death at the age of 98. He was admitted to Hinduja Hospital due to breathing issues and he died early this morning. 

The news was confirmed by his family friend Faisal Farooqui on the legendary actor’s official Twitter handle. Dr. Faisal tweeted: With a heavy heart and profound grief, I announce the passing away of our beloved Dilip Saab, a few minutes ago. We are from God and to Him, we return. – Faisal Farooqui  

Doctors confirmed that Dilip Kumar suffered from advanced prostate cancer that had spread to other organs of his body. “He had water in the pleural cavity, and he suffered kidney failure. He required blood transfusion multiple times. We carried out the last transfusion but it did not help,” a hospital doctor said. He was bedridden for the past several months and had become unresponsive in the last few days. 

Yusuf Khan, professionally known as Dilip Kumar is a trendsetter in terms of acting style and inspired generations of actors in the Indian cinema.

As soon as the news of his demise broke, several fans and the members of the Bollywood industry offered their condolences on social media.

He is best known for his films  Devdas, Mughal-e-Azam, Gunga Jamuna, Ram Aur Shyam, Naya Daur, Madhumati, Kranti, Vidhaata, Shakti and Mashaal, and more. But it was his movie Andaz, alongside Raj Kapoor and Nargis that made him a big star

Dilip Kumar also holds the Guinness World Records for winning the maximum number of awards by an Indian actor. The legend was honored with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 1994 and Padma Vibhushan in 2015.
