Fans mourn the death of evergreen heartthrob of Bollywood Rishi Kapoor on the internet:

The legendary actor of Bollywood Rishi Kapoor passed away on 30th April 2020 and fans have reacted with shock. Fans mourned the actor’s death on social media saying that his passing has left behind a void in the Indian cinema.

The 67-year-old actor had fought a long battle with cancer for the last two years and was admitted to the hospital for almost a week. He returned to India in September 2019 after a year of treatment in New York.

The Kapoor family in a statement said, “Our dear Rishi Kapoor passed away peacefully at 8:45 am IST in hospital today after a two-year battle with leukemia. The doctors and medical staff at the hospital said he kept them entertained to the last.”

Fans reacted to the news with disbelief. Kapoor’s fans remembered how he had been in films since his childhood.  Fans came up with his best dialog and paid tribute to India’s evergreen heartthrob:

In just two days Bollywood lost their two most great and legendary actors, Irrfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor.

Rishi Kapoor was the son of legendary actor Raj Kapoor and Krishna Kapoor, Rishi started acting in cinema at the age of three in Shree 420. His debut film was Mera Naam Joker directed by his father. Once called “the chocolate boy” of Hindi films, Kapoor was a popular actor through the 1970s to the 1990s and featured in hit films like Amar Akbar Anthony, Coolie, Saagar, Karz, and Chandni among others. This is a great loss, he will always be in our memories.
