Shahid and Sonakshi in R..rajkumar

Lover boy Shahid Kapoor turns action hero for Prabhu Deva’s masala entertainer R…Rajkumar but the effect is the complete opposite Wanted which made Salman Khan an action hero. Many reports are already dubbing this as the most annoying film of 2013!

Cast:  Shahid Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha, Sonu Sood

Director:  Prabhu Deva

Rating:  1/5

Music: The songs are energetic, catchy, and fulfill that masala quota. The first song of the album, Gandi Baat very catchy  and Mika channels the energy required for such a song to work. Saree ka fall sung by Nakash Aziz, is also good. Kunal Ganjawala’s  Maari maari is shouldered by its sole catchy hook.  The other song, Kaddu katega and the two remixes are redundant in all aspects.
Story: R…Rajkumar was to be named Rambo but copyright issues happened and we got Rajkumar! Rajkumar played by Shahid stalks the village belle Chanda (the only actress who plays village belle in all her films – Sonakshi Sinha) who submits and falls in love with her stalker. R..Rajkumar has two enemies Sonu Sood who plays a purana zamana killing innocent gaon-walas goon. And then begins the bloodbath with intolerable violence.

Why you should watch this movie: If you are an ardent Shahid lover or love nonsense loud films. Shahid tries in vain to save this sinking ship!

Why should miss this movie:  Seems like Prabhu Deva is on a disaster film direction roll after the flop Ramaiya Vatsavaiya. Many wanted R…Rajkumar to swing the Wanted way but the film fails miserably.  Lose direction, sad storyline and unnecessary caricature of characters irks you. Topped with brouhaha of a nameless village, crass dialogues, pelvis thrusts and blood shedding!
