However, Rajkummar was quick to put the speculation to rest, adding a clarification in the comments: “P.S.: We are not becoming parents yet.” That seemed to settle it — at least for the moment. Now, months later in July, the couple has officially confirmed the joyful news: they are indeed preparing to welcome their first baby!
Adding to the growing list of Bollywood couples embracing parenthood — including Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra — beloved duo Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa have delighted fans by announcing that they’re expecting their first child. The couple shared the happy news through a joint post on their official social media accounts, featuring a photo of a cradle with the words “Baby on the way” emblazoned above it. Rajkummar kept the caption short and heartfelt, simply writing: “Elated ❤️❤️,” beautifully capturing the joy they’re experiencing.
As soon as the parents-to-be shared their joyful news, heartfelt wishes began pouring in from across the film industry. Actor and new dad Varun Dhawan exclaimed, “Congratualtionsssssss❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️,” while Rajkummar’s Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga co-star Sonam Kapoor Ahuja wrote, “So happy for you both my dear friends ❤️.” Pulkit Samrat chimed in with an enthusiastic, “Wowwwww!!
