The Ambanis organize a mass wedding for 50 couples in anticipation of Anant and Radhika’s wedding:

Ahead of their youngest son Anant Ambani’s wedding, Nita and Mukesh Ambani organized a mass wedding for over 50 underprivileged couples from Maharashtra’s Palghar on July 2. Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant are set to marry on July 12 in Mumbai.

The mass wedding event took place at Reliance Corporate Park in Thane, with approximately 800 attendees representing the couples’ families. Nita and Mukesh Ambani, along with Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta, and Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal, were present at the celebration.

Each couple was gifted gold ornaments, including mangalsutras, wedding rings, and nose rings. They also received silver ornaments such as toe rings and anklets. Additionally, each bride was presented with a cheque of Rs 1.01 lakh as her ‘streedhan’.

The couples also received groceries and household items sufficient for a year, including a variety of 36 essential items and utensils, appliances such as a gas stove, mixer, and fan, as well as a mattress and pillows.

A grand dinner was organized, and guests were invited to witness the traditional Tarpa dance performed by the Warli Tribe, adding a rich cultural experience to the evening.

A firm believer in the principle “manav seva hi madhav seva” (service to humanity is service to God), the Ambani family upholds a tradition of starting every major family occasion by providing for and serving others, thereby reinforcing their commitment to the community.
