Here are the rules that will come in effect from December 1st to contain the spread of COVID-19.
The Union Home Ministry has revised the guidelines for containment of COVID-19 and the new regulations will come into effect from 1st December. The states have been allowed to issue SOPs and take strict actions to control the spread of COVID-19.
Here are the rules and containment measures that states are to follow and take independent decisions within areas to control the spread of coronavirus.
- Ensuring there is no movement of people living in containment zones, only allowed for medical emergencies and to get supplies.
- Surveillance of houses and testing to be carried out.
- People who have tested positive for COVID-19 to give details of other people they have come in contact with and following up with them.
- Isolation of people tested positive to be ensured.
- Awareness to be created amongst communities to contain the spread of the virus.
The states can take independent decisions to ensure there is no spread of coronavirus and the local district can take necessary actions. There is shall be no lockdown imposed in any state and people are to follow COVID-19 appropriate guidelines.
People will be encouraged to follow safety precautions while interacting with others. Masks and sanitizers should be used to reduce the risk of catching the infection. Social distancing rules shall be followed in public places including weekly bazaars.
