But as they are a critical part of the body, knowing the signs that show you are having any issue or not is important. It’s essential to know what’s going inside the body and these can be understood with some symptoms that we usually do not notice or avoid in normal days. Less menstrual bleeding

Frequently missed periods are a major sign you need to look after. Having late dates, irregular menstrual cycles and less bleeding is a sign of hormonal changes and needs to be known. It is not an issue if you skip your periods for a month but if it continues, get it checked.

Increased hair growth

Excessive hair growth in underarms, genitalia, arms, legs, or face, can be its sign. This happens due to ovarian production of increased androgens that are responsible for hair growth. Especially, these symptoms may be seen in women who have PCOS.


Fatigue or shortness of breath can be a sign of ovarian cancer. Since there is no reliable screening currently available for it, so its diagnosis can be difficult as it might not be known easily. Even if you suffer from fatigue, it does not finally concludes that you have an ovary issue but it’s important to get it checked.

Washroom habit changes

If there are changes in urination or your bowel movements, it can be its symptom. Many women feel their bladder is not empty even after urination and some also feel pressure moving their bowels. Note down your signs and talk with the doctor on them to take precautions beforehand.



Since ovarian cancer generally do not have any symptom until late, bloating can be a sign you must look after. Early signs that show there is some ovarian problem include bloating, fullness, and nausea.
