The city of lakes, Udaipur is known for its history, culture, scenic locations and its Rajput-era palaces. The city has many attractive palaces and lakes and one such is Lake Pichola.  This artificial fresh water lake, was created in the year 1362 AD and was named after  Picholi village. Check out the beauty of the lake and the palaces around.

  • Camel rideCamel ride If you are in a mood just enjoy a camel ride with your friends or family outside the lake. It's approx INR 50/person. The best part is that you can climb up the stool and sit on a standing camel.
  • Taj Lake PalaceTaj Lake Palace A room in this heritage property will cost you close to 1.25 lakhs /night but seeing it from outside won't cost you much. The entry is restricted for only the in house guests.
  • City PalaceCity Palace The beautiful City Palace is considered the largest of its type in Rajasthan as it's divided into a hotel, king of Mewar's residence and a tourist attraction too. You can see the palace from outside during the boat ride but take out some time to explore this palace and the royalty attached to it.
