In a woman’s life, marriage is one of the most special occasions. Every bride wants to look her best on her special day. Bridal make-up is an important part of bridal dressing and it is very important to get the right kind of makeup that suits one’s face cut and personality.  We have all seen beautiful and ghastly bridal makeup in our lives. So we got ace makeup artist Niti Luthra, to tell us how to get the right bridal look without overdoing on makeup.

Skin: Moisturize your face and apply primer. It adds glow to the face and makes it look fresh for longer period. Use concealer under the eye, chin, nose and any pigmented area. The application of make-up should be less as you do not want to look cakey. So use very little quantity of foundation. If your photographer is going to take close shots, avoid a very heavy eye makeup base. Use an eye shadow stick as a base for your eye lids.

Eyes: Use shades of matching the tones of your lengha, for reds pick deep maroon for an all over wash. Apply highlighter to accentuate your eyes. After highlighting your eye crease and brow bone, apply a pearl highlighting and contour it with your lid shade. Apply a light layer of your powder blush on top to set the makeup for a long time. Use brown or grey eye pencil on the upper lashline and blend. After blending smoothly apply liner and then apply mascara on upper and lower lashline. Brush the brows and apply brow pencil. Use the same pencil in lower lash line. Kohl and waterproof mascara make for a beautiful traditional dulhan look.

Lips: Use a lip balm to moisturize your lips and then outline with a lip pencil. Use a bright lipstick and a gloss on top.

Blusher: Contour your cheeks with a bronzer and highlighter. Add some peachy pink blusher on your cheeks.

Add a huge round bindi to add a touch of ethnicity to your bridal beauty.
