American astronaut of Indian origin Sunita Williams condemned the Delhi gang-rape case. Sunita blamed the lack of respect to women as the primary reason.
During an interaction with students via videoconference in Pune from NASA (USA), Williams condemned the attitude of men towards women. She cited lack of respect for women in the country for the rise in crimes.
The Delhi gang-rape case has shocked everyone. A girl was assaulted and raped by six men on December 16. The victim died from grievous injuries on December 29. The case took the nation by storm and people are demanding justice for the same.
