We all want bushy brows now that big brows are in vogue. But pencils, powders and brow gels can style the eye brows to a limit. So we checked out brow tinting. Now brow tinting is much like hiar colouring complete with its own range of color dyes and developers. In fact in New York there are eye brow and eyelash tinting salons that promise you thicker and darker brows for at least 6 weeks post treatment. Though in India we currently do not have such services, here are a few eye brow tinting techniques you can try.
You will have fuller eyebrows
Obviously! An eyebrow pencil looks fake and rubbed along but a tint will colour the skin and make your eyebrow hair look thicker. It will give a more subtly perfect look.
You will still need some eyebrow powder
However there is a downside to eye brow tinting too. Your brows shall still need some powder for fill ins especially if you have a scar as brow tinting highlights scars.
It will not last that long
Eye brow tints don’t last more than 6 weeks if done by a beauty expert and 3-4 weeks if done at home.
It’s completely DIY
Doing your eyebrows at home is not a touch task. You have to be careful during application and here is how to get those thick eyebrows at home:
- Do not tweeze or thread. While grooming our brows tend to get thinner. So avoid tweezing atleast 10 – 15 days prior to trying a eyebrow tint.
- Apply a thick coat of Vaseline around your eyebrow shape. Take a thin makeup brush and apply Vaseline around your brows according to your desired shape. Remember to follow your natural shape, you cannot really aim for pointy fake eyebrows when your natural one is a thin line,

- Let it dry for a maximum of 2 minutes. Remove with cotton ball. And you are done.
