How to apply glitters on eyes

Glitter on eyes looks exquisite and beautiful. It makes the eyes look dressy, we suggest you use glitter on occasions like weddings, festivals or a night at the club. But applying glitter requires precision and loose glitter can at times fall all over the place creating a mess. SO how to apply glitter like a pro? Here are a few steps and precautions to apply glitter perfectly.

Picking the right glitter

The right glittwr plays a very important role in making your eyes look pretty. We suggest you pick single shades like silver, black or golden over those multicoloured ones. Multi coloured glitter doesn’t reflect light that beautifully. Pick body glitter or loose glitter from any cosmetic store.

Use small, fine particles of glitter as they give a sparkling subtle look.

Steps to apply glitter

1.       Apply a generous amount of translucent loose powder under eyes and on cheeks before applying glitter. You can dust it off in the end.

2.       Make sure you apply a base: Apply an eye primer beforehand. You can also use a cream eye shadow in a similar shade to make sure the glitter sticks.

3.       Now using a fluffy eye shadow brush, pat the glitter onto your eyelid with your eye closed. Keep your eye closed for a little bit.

4.       Now with a fluffy normal brush remove loose powder. Apply a neutral shade in the crease and highlighter.

5.       Apply eyeliner, kohl and eye brow pencil.

Some important tips to apply glitter:

Always do eyes first right after washing your face prior to mosturising when applying glitter so you can clean up any mess. Moisturiser can make the glitter stick to your face.

After dipping into the glitter pot, always tap your brush on the rim to remove excess glitter. You need a really small amount to stick to the eyelids. Excess glitter will fall all over your face.

For a sophisticated look, only apply a touch of glitter to the middle of the eyelid.

Use a flat flat dense brush.

Dedicate a makeup brush to glitter only and keep it separate from your brushes as glitter travels easily and will spoil your other brushes.
