Here is how India reacted to Air India crew members being ostracized.
Air India staff was insulted and told to evacuate homes as they were on duty and working towards bringing stranded Indians home. The neighbors of the many staff started to complain and started to call police on them.
Air India shared a copy of the press release on social media, addressing this problem.

Air India also mentioned that their cabin crew took all the necessary precautions and were provided with suits, sanitizers, and masks. They also mentioned that the crew was on mandatory home quarantine and all the necessary hospital check-ups were done.

Air India appealed to people and respected others to remain respectful towards their staff. People on social media were upset to learn this and apologized on behalf of people who mistreated the staff.
