Sonu Nigam turns beggar for 2 hours (& no one recognizes him)

Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam, who has entertained fans with his melodious voice for over two decades, transformed himself as an aged street performer for a web video titled The Roadside Ustaad.

This experimental video got mixed reaction of common herd . . . Some were enjoying the old man’s singing while just coolly walk away, all of them were absolutely unaware to the fact that the old man is Sonu.

Talking about the idea, Sonu said that he went to do this video without any hope, with no discomfort for how he was looking and what he was about to subject himself to.

In the video, he is seen with a harmonium, the musical instrument that his parents bought when he was born. The singer sang his famous song from the movie Kal ho na ho: har ghadi badal rahi hai roop Zindagi and clueless passerbys didn’t recognize him once. Nigam further stated that the whole idea behind this experiment was to inspire people to take a moment out of their busy lives and appreciate the beauty of music.

The video was released on Culture Machine’s digital channel Being Indian yesterday.
