Removing those last remaining smudges of kohl, liner and mascara at night can be a difficult task. Sometimes many of us tug the under eye which can give way to premature aging of skin and under eye wrinkles (yikes!) So removing eye makeup is essential and over the years I have tried many products and cheat ways like baby oil, olive oil, even multani mitti (some idiot told me the makeup gets stuck in the pack and removes itself in a jiffy) a very bad experience. When Sephora opened its doors in Delhi I picked this makeup remover and hoped it will do a decent job and remove my kohl but I was in for a surprise, it really works!
Price: INR 600 for the 125 ml and INR 400 for 50 ml of bottle.
Claims: According to the Sephora website this is a waterproof eye makeup remover suitable for contact lens wearers and those with sensitive eyes. What it does: This do-it-all formula removes waterproof makeup and contains a lash-strengthening complex that’s rich in flavonoids and olive wood extracts. HydroSenn+ is a plant-derived ingredient exclusive to Sephora that leaves skin feeling soft and luxuriously comfortable. This product is ophthalmologist tested and suits sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers.
Packaging: It is a simple transparent twist bottle, though I feel it will leak if I carry it around during travel. I put a lot of this eye makeup on wet wipes and carry them instead!
Pros: This eye makeup remover works really well.It does not sting the eyes and importantly cleans a smokey eye in flat 30 seconds! All you have to do is give this bottle a shake to mix that transparent oil with the blue one, dab some on cotton and gently massage on your eye. It does not hurt my eyes even though I have been using contacts from last 8 years. The price is also decent. You do not need to much quantity a squirt is enough for both eyes.
Cons: It leaves a film of oil which you need to wash off. The packaging doesn’t look suitable for travel.
