Dazzling looks from Met Gala 2023

Check out the celebrity looks from Met Gala 2023:

All eyes were on the 2023 Met Gala red carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.  This year, the annual affair celebrated the exhibition Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty, while the gala honored the legacy of Lagerfeld – the late designer who helmed fashion houses such as Chanel, and Fendi and his own eponymous line – and raised funds for The Met’s Costume Institute.

The Met Gala, which is frequently referred to as the “Super Bowl of fashion,” has produced numerous unforgettable (and widely shared) celebrity red carpet-appearances over the last ten years, and this year was no exception. The high-profile guests were asked to dress “in honor of Karl,” resulting in tributes to his well-known white shirting, Chanel’s signature camellia flower, and even his cherished cat, Choupette. Doja Cat underwent a metamorphosis into a feline using prosthetics, while Jared Leto appeared on the steps in a fuzzy cat costume.

The hosts of the lavish event are La La Anthony, Derek Blasberg, and Saturday Night Live fame Chloe Fineman.

Apart from Priyanka Chopra, Indian celebs on the Met Gala guest list include Alia Bhatt, Natasha Poonawala, and Isha Ambani.

Alia Bhatt made her Met Gala debut in a sparkly white billowing bridal white gown speckled with pearls, which is inspired by Karl Lagerfeld and designed by Prabal Gurung.

Alia’s look was completed with simple hair pulled back in a ponytail, minimal makeup, and diamond earrings with kohl-lined eyes.

Isha Ambani also donned a stunning, black, satin-back sari gown by Prabal Gurung.  Talking about the saree, the glamorous crepe outfit was hand-embellished with thousands of crystals and pearls, and adorned with a silk chiffon train.

Priyanka was seen twinning and winning with her Husband Nick Jonas. Both of them wore Valentino and PeeCee accentuated her look with Bulgari jewels. Their ensembles were in keeping with the theme – “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line Of Beauty”.

Natasha Poonawala wore an avant-garde figure in a mirrored Schiaparelli gown. Natasha’s gown is a subtle nod to Karl Lagerfeld’s cat Choupette (almost as iconic as the designer himself), with the bodice soaring up at the edges to mimic a cat’s ears. Natasha’s look was a hit with uber-stylist Anaita Shroff Adajania, who left fire emojis in the comments thread of Natasha’s Instagram post, and Ami Patel, who wrote: “Seriously brilliant.”
